Ingredients

BBQ Mayonnaise

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Bar-B-Q Sauce

Crispy Onion Straws

  • ½ cup flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 medium onion, very thinly sliced

Cowboy Burgers

  • 4 Sheboygan Burgers
  • 4 slices mild Cheddar cheese
  • 1 dill pickle, sliced lengthwise ¼-inch thick
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves

How to Make

Step 1

Make your sauce by mixing mayonnaise and Bar-B-Q Sauce in small bowl until well blended. Cover. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Step 2

Mix flour, salt and pepper in large resealable plastic bag.

Step 3

Pour oil into deep fryer, large heavy skillet or saucepan, filling no more than ⅓ full.Heat oil on medium-high heat. Carefully add onion

Step 4

Grill over medium heat 4 to 6 minutes per side or until burgers are cooked through or internal temperature at 160 degrees fahrenheit

Step 5

Add cheese slices to burgers 1 minute before cooking is completed.

Step 6

Grill pickle slices 2 to 3 minutes per side or until grill marks appear.

Step 7

Toast burger buns on the grill, open-side down, about 30 seconds, if desired.

Step 8

Serve burgers on buns topped with grilled pickles, Crispy Onion Straws and lettuce. Serve with BBQ Mayonnaise.
